Understanding Assistant Minutes
Assistant minutes are how we measure AI call handling time.
When Aiden handles the entire call — screening, taking messages, answering questions — each minute of call time uses 1 assistant minute.
When Aiden connects the caller to your phone, each minute uses 2 assistant minutes — the AI and the phone bridge are both active.
Example: A 5-minute AI-only call uses 5 minutes. A 5-minute bridged call uses 10 minutes.
Pricing FAQ
Assistant minutes measure how long CallScribe's AI spends handling your calls. AI-only calls (where Aiden handles everything) use 1 minute per minute. Bridged calls (where Aiden connects you to the caller) count as 2 minutes per minute, since both the AI and the phone bridge are active.
Yes. Every new account starts with 30 free assistant minutes so you can try CallScribe with real calls. Trial credits expire after 14 days. A payment method is required at signup to prevent fraud, but you won't be charged until you choose a plan.
You're never cut off. Calls continue as normal, and overage minutes are billed at your tier's rate: Starter $0.25/min, Plus $0.20/min, Pro $0.15/min, Business $0.12/min. You can monitor usage in your dashboard.
Yes, anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
